Chapter 105

When they reached the mansion, everything happened all at once. Shelby came rushing up to the car, Violet and Richie came out the door. Jacob squealed when he saw Shelby and just wanted out, climbing all over Jesse.

Cheyenne stayed in the car, not wanting to disturb the little boy on her lap. Jesse and Stephanie got out and greeted Violet, who nearly broke their backs, hugging them so hard.

Jacob received a crushing hug as well, he pulled free and rushed to Shelby. The two clicked immediately.

“Hey, you bunch of Bongiovis! Don’t I get a hug?”

Stephanie rushed into Richie’s arms and he swung her around. He stepped back feigning a confused look..

“Wait just a damn minute. Who are you?”

‘Uncle Richie!”

“Hey, I’m sorry but the Stephanie I know is this high.”

“Yeah a few years ago!” He smiled and kissed her on the cheek.

“Jon is your shotgun ready yet? Cause we have a beauty on our hands!”

“Yep, all loaded just waiting in the safe for some unsuspecting bastard to pitch up.”

“Oh poor Steve is gonna get it. I told ya!” Jesse was enjoying this immensely.

“Oh, shut up, will you!’

Jon turned towards them..”Steve…who the hell is Steve?”

“Just a friend daddy.” She tried her best to hide the blush on her cheeks.

“Does your mother knows about your..uum friend?”

“Yeah, she does dad. Cause he hangs at our place quite often.”

Stephanie gave her brother a murderous look.

“This is not over young lady.” He gave her a mock stare.

Jon opened the door at Cheyenne’s side and lifted the sleeping boy from her lap. Violet stepped forward and took the boy. She was so excited to see the kids again

Cheyenne got out and looked at the scene before her. This is what family is all about, love and laughter. Nobody could beat the feeling. Jon put his arm around her and pulled her into his body.

Richie was chatting to Jesse. Jacob was rolling on the grass, giggling when Shelby pressed her wet nose into his neck. Violet took Romeo up to his bed and a maid took the kids luggage out of the car. Stephanie was busy with her phone again.

“So what do you think of the kids? Ready to run yet?”

“Me? Run? Never…they’re wonderful kids. You and Dorothea did a great job.”

“Actually Dot did. I’m on the road so much, what I put in doesn’t count. She is one remarkable lady.”

“Yes, she is.”

He nuzzled her neck, giving her goosebumps.

“Jon, stop it. The kids are going to eeewww and ask a lot of questions again, How are you going to explain the nuzzling part?”

“Oh, I’ll just tell them that you made their daddy horny.” He growled into her ear.

She gasped. ‘Oh I can just see it now, Steph and Jesse’s jaws hitting the gravel. Jacob and Romeo going back home and telling Dorothea, ‘Cheyenne makes daddy horny.””

He threw his head back and laughed.

“Yeah I guess that wouldn’t work.”

“No, it won’t so keep your hands to yourself.”

She stepped out of his arms, Richie joined them.

“Hey, foxy lady. How have you been.? “ He kissed her and gave her a hug.

“I’m great and you? Its gonna be a full house this weekend. Are you coming with us to the carnival tomorrow?”

“I have nothing better to do.”

“Arrg don’t let that asshole fool you. He is on more rides that all the children combined.” Jon smiled. He didn’t want the kids to pick up on the vibe between him and Richie.

Richie smiled back and gave him the finger.

“You’re only young once.”

“Young? You’re ancient!”
