Cheyenne couldn’t keep her eyes off the ring for longer than a few minutes. Her eyes kept on drifting back to the glittering wonder on her finger.
Jon felt like he was on cloud number nine. The ring on her finger made her officially his, and the ring screamed it to the world.
Jon walked over to Richie, whispered something in his ear. Richie nodded and they walked over to the bar stools and sat down with their guitars, the ones they keep in the bar for nights like these.
Stacey immediately made herself comfy.
“Oh, Chey a private show from the Bon Jovi boys! This could be fun!”
Cheyenne sat down next to Stacey, for some reason she had a fluttery feeling in the pit of her stomach.
The guys strummed a bit and settled in. Richie placed his wine next to him and gave the girls his famous rockstar smile.
“Well, Chey babes I guess this one is for you, honey”
Jon didn’t say anything just stared at her with those drowning blues of his.
Diamond ring
Wear it on your hand
It’s gonna tell the world
I’m your only man
Diamond ring
Diamond ring
Cheyenne sat mesmerized, staring at Jon. His eyes were so passionate and his voice emotional. Time stood still for her. They were the only two people in the room.
When you’re hungry
I will fill you up
When you’re thirsty drink out of my loving cup
When you’re crying I will be the tears for you
There’s nothing that I wouldn’t do…
Don’t you know I bleed every night you sleep
Cause I don’t know if I’m in your dreams
I want to be you’re everything…
When the last words died away, she felt the tears streaming down her face.
This was more than just an emotional lovesong written by two talented writers. This came deep from their souls.
Jon stood up, guitar in hand and walked over to her.
“Now you see why I want you to wear my ring? I love you baby, more than you’ll ever know..” He brought his golden head down to touch her lips. He felt her quiver against him and his heart started pounding in his ears. He could only touch her and he turned into a mess.
He stroked her chin, caught the tears with his finger, turned around and walked back to the chair.
Cheyenne looked up and met Richie’s eyes.
She only managed to whisper the words thank you to him.
He winked at her and she smiled.
Stacey was crying too, but Cheyenne guessed the wine kicked in and she was just overly emotional, a normal thing for Stace if she drank wine.
“Oh, damn this man is so romantic..I want one as well.”
“Well I’m free honey, just say the word.” Richie’s eyes twinkled.
Stacey looked at him and Cheyenne realised that Stacey is gonna fall hard for this heartthrob. She just needed time to get over Wayne’s death.
