Chapter 166

Stacey was dressed in a cool summer dress, Richie’s eyes devoured her slim form, feeling a familiar tightening in his loins.

“Well lets go sweetheart.” He opened the door of the car.

They drove in a comfortable silence, Stacey’s hand on his thigh and his hand covering hers.

Richie couldn’t get out of the car quick enough.

The little girl waiting for them was a beautiful blend between Richie and Heather. She ran towards her father and threw herself into his arms. Stacey stood to one side giving father and daughter time to greet each other.

Richie turned around holding Ava on his arm.

“Honey this is a very good friend of mine, her name is Stacey.”

Ava smiled at Stacey, a shy look on her pretty little face.

“Hi Ava., nice to meet you. Your daddy has told me so much about you it feels like I know you already.”

‘Hello Stacy, nice to meet you too.”

Richie treated the girls to some ice cream before they travelled back.

Ava’s shyness melted away as each mile rolled by.

Stacey sat and listened to father and daughter’s banter. He really missed her and the excited flush on his cheeks made her heart flutter. How could Heather keep Ava from him?

She was so deep in thought that she jumped slightly as Richie’s hand closed over hers. He placed her hand back on his thigh, she felt his hand gripping as she tried to pull away.

Don’t even try it. The message in his eyes were clear.

The little girl looked at them, then down at their joined hands and chattered like everything was completely normal.

“Where are we going daddy?”

“Ooh I’m not sure where do you wanna go?”

She mentioned a staggering list, causing Stacey to giggle at the horrific look on Richie’s face.

“Fu…geesh honey you’re gonna kill me before this weekend is over! Did your mother lock you up or something, it seems like you never get out!”

“Daddy, mommy will never lock me up and you know it!” Her sweet little laugh ringed in the air.

They had to stop at McDonalds first. Little miss Muffet was hungry. By the time they reached the mansion she was dead to the world.

“Phhew at least we’re saved from Ava’s list of activities.” He lifted her sleeping form from the car.

‘Someone is getting old!”

“Not old honey…just older.” He bend down and captured her lips, the unexpected kiss threw her, her gasp escaping into his awaiting mouth.
