Jon relaxed back into his chair forcing himself to chat with the guys and not to stare at the couple in each other’s arms.

The way Big Kenny’s eyes moved over Cheyenne made his stomach turn. He knew that look, he was a man himself. Alot of woman received that same look from him in his younger, wilder years.

“You look lovely tonight.” Kenny smiled into her eyes.

“Thanx, you don’t look too bad yourself.”.

“From the looks of it you are a damn good dancer too, Jon is a lucky guy .”

“I think I am the lucky one.”

“So what do you think about the new cd so far?”

“I think its gonna be a huge hit! The fans might be a bit apprehensive when they hear it has a country influence but they will fall in love with it !”

His hands moved slowly up and down her back. He was friendly and courteous but something in his eyes made her wary.

“Do you have a special someone in your life?”

‘Nope, not at the moment. Not really looking for something serious at the moment. I’m just enjoying the female company that comes my way now and then.’

Cheyenne laughed.

“A modest guy, I like that in a man. But you know as well as I do woman probably throw themselves at you. It’s a celebrity thing.”

“There I go thinking that it might be my good looks or my charm.” He rolled his eyes.

Cheyenne threw her head back, laughing, the pitiful look on his face too much to bear.

Jon decided to take a look, his blood froze when he saw her laughing gleefully and Kenny’s hand stroking up and down her back.

“Hey,now bro they’re just dancing. Nothing more.” Richie stared at his friend.

“ I know, but there is something about him that makes my blood boil. Did you see how he stares at her. I don’t mind looking once in a while but he’s fucking her with his eyes.”

“Jon, listen buddy. Cheyenne is a very sexy woman. Men will stare at her, even try their luck. But she will never betray you and I think you know it too. So just relax brother and enjoy the evening. Everything will be just fine.”

After Richie’s talk he felt better. Maybe he was overreacting and as he said Cheyenne is a sensible woman and she loves him, she will never do anything intentionally to hurt him.
