Chapter 191

Stacey tried to get Cheyenne to look normal again. But she had a button missing, her lips slightly swollen from his forced kissing, her eyes a bit puffy from the crying. Cheyenne emptied her stomach’s content, sat back and wait for the dizzy feeling to wear off.

She felt shaky and dirty, still feeling his hands groping her. She sucked in a shaky breath.

“I’ll put my jacket on as soon as we reach the table. I don’t think he’ll notice my face cause he had been drinking, so he won’t pay too much attention.”

The guys were sitting at the table. Richie, Tico and Dave’s eyes flew towards them, burning into them until they reached the table.

Cheyenne took her jacket and slipped it over her shoulders.

Jon turned around.

‘I almost came looking for you. Everything ok, baby? You missed Kenny and John. They left already.” He pulled her onto his lap.

“Oh..maybe we should go too. I’m tired and it’s late.”

He put his glass down and stood up.

‘You boys coming?”

They all stood up simultaneously. Everyone wanted to put this night behind them as soon as possible.

The car was waiting outside. Rain was drizzling down , a slight breeze cooling the night air even more.

Cheyenne snuggled up to Jon in the car, she needed to feel him close to her, her mind still in a whirl.

Jon, in his haze, took her action as a warm up before they reached the hotel. He held her close smiling to himself in the dark. Telling himself how lucky he was. Cheyenne draw strength from his strong arms wrapped so tightly around her, the nauseous feeling starting to subside. This is where she felt safe, right here.

They reached the hotel too quickly, but maybe she needed to be alone with him, his loving chasing the horror of what happened, away.

Richie greeted them at the door, a worried look on his face as he took in Cheyenne pale face.

“You two have a good night.”

“Thanx Rich.” Her thank you had a deeper meaning and he knew it. Cheyenne had a special place in his heart and it ripped him to pieces to see her like that.

His eyes told her what she wanted to see.

I’ll always be there for you…a little tuck at her lips thanked him back.

Stacey closed the door behind them.

“This was such a great night and now this. I could kill that man!”

“I don’t know why all this shit always have to happens with her. God! Can’t she just be happy?” Richie’s eyes were on fire, pacing up and down the room.

Stacey walked up to him, reading the expression in his eyes.

“She crept deep inside that heart of yours, didn’t she?” Her hand rested on his heart.

“Honey, I don’t want you to take it the wrong way, but I will move mountains for her. She deserves to be happy and I’ll do anything in my power to make sure she is.”

“I think that’s why I fell so hard for you. You have a huge, loving heart. I admire you for that.” She stood on her toes, her lips touching his softly. Something started in her tummy and warmed her soul.

Realization dawned one her. She loved him! She didn’t know when and how but she loved him!
