Jon just stood there, his stomach turning, his body heating and cooling off at the same time. He started shaking and the moment Cheyenne looked up at Richie and the love shone from her eyes, Jon rushed off the porch, reached a tree to steady himself while he emptied the contents of his stomach.
He was shaking all over and he felt like death warmed over.
Its true it all fucking true! It happened again, losing the woman he loved to another man.
Hate and fury boiled in his veins and for a moment he could see his hands around Cheyenne throat and the look on her face as he squeezed the life out of her.
He shook his head furiously, shocked that he had could even think such a horrendous thing!
His phone started ringing and he felt like throwing the fucking thing in the river.
He opened it with a little more violence than necessary, walking away afraid that Cheyenne or Richie would hear or see him.
“Jon speaking.”
‘Hey Jon! Tommy here. How have you been?”
“Hey, Tommy listen this is not a good time for me could be chat a bit later?”
‘Oh I’m sorry Jon. But there is something I want to discuss with you and its quite urgent.”
Jon’s stomach turned for the second time and Tommy’s embarrassed voice made him nervous.
“Sure, when do you want to see me? Now is good for me..”
“That would be great.”
“I’ll meet ya at the restaurant. We can talk private there.”
Tommy was a good friend since he became famous. He always made sure that the local magazines and papers didn’t wash Jon’s dirty laundry in public. He haven’t heard from him since the divorce, so this meeting wasn’t for pleasure.
Tommy was sitting in their favourite dark spot. He looked up and smiled as Jon walked his way, a frown slowly increasing as he saw Jon’s pale face and his shocking blue eyes overshadowing his face.
“How ya doin’ Tommy?” They hugged each other like brothers.
“Better with me by the looks of it..”
Jon sagged back on the couch, a tiredness washing over him.
They ordered each a Jack Daniels and Jon washed it down, turning towards the waitress before she even walked three steps from the table.
“Fill me up honey..” The young waitress flamed at Jon’s words. Jon smiled his gorgeous smile and winked at her. Her hand shook slightly as she took the glass.
“You still have the overwhelming sex appeal after all these years! It amazes me when are you going to lose that sexy boy charm of yours Jon?”
“Don’t know and don’t really care..” The flirty smile was gone and shadows darkened his blue eyes.
He looked up.
“Hit me Tommy show me what you got for this old Jersey boy.”
“This is not gonna be nice..and I hate to do this to you but rather me or some stranger.”
