Chapter 37

Joe escorted her to the show and this time he sat at the back when Cheyenne insisted. They talked about where he was from, his family, and no he wasn’t married but he had someone special in his life. He told Cheyenne all about the woman in his life and his whole face lit up.

They reached the show and she saw the place were packed and everywhere you look, you could see fans and crewmembers scurrying around to make sure everything will be perfect for the show. It was well known that Jon could get very uptight if things didn’t run smoothly. Cheyenne was wondering what Jon would wear that night… what ever it is she was sure it would be a knockout…nothing he wore could look bad on that body!

She reached the backstage area and decided to see if see could have a word with Richie. She knocked on his door , he told whoever it was , to come in..

Cheyenne walked in feeling a bit nervous. She wasn’t sure how to explain the whole thing to him.

Richie saw her and his face lit up with a huge smile.

‘My favourite gal in the world! Coming to wish me luck before the show?”

He hugged her and gave her a kiss on the top of her head. He was a tall guy and she had to admit he was damn sexy himself. His chest was open all the way down and she found herself staring into a smooth chest.

She looked up and he immediately saw in her eyes she that she had something she wanted to say.

“Rich do you know why I’m here with you guys?”

“Yeah, Jon told me he met you and he asked you to spend a few days with us, also mentioned that it was over between you and Mark’

Ok, so he forgot to tell them about he $1 million. Maybe it’s not a good idea to tell him that right now.

“What’s wrong Chey?”

“Rich, Jon thinks that we are uuumm how can I put it…attracted to each other.”

Cheyenne blushed like  a school girl. Richie suddenly looked shocked..

“But I thought we were attracted to each other!”

Cheyenne felt her heart skipped a beat.. Oh my god not this!

She looked up at Richie and immediately caught the twinkle in his eyes.

“Oh Richie, you nearly had me going there. God I nearly fainted!”

Richie threw his head back and laughed so hard she couldn’t help but join him.

“Listen honey, I saw Jon’s reaction to you he is as jealous as hell. I’m just jerking his chain and keeping him on his toes. But if he ever decides that he isn’t interested I will be waitin’!”

He was smiling at her but his last statement came deep from his heart. The look he gave her was gone so quickly she thought she might have imagined it.

‘Richie you are the best friend a girl could ever ask for!”

She reached for him and he hugged her close.

“If Jon ever hurts you, I’ll kill him myself you hear?”

Cheyenne nodded and he kissed her on the top of her head.

“Now if you two are finished, could you please meet me in my dressing room, Cheyenne?”
