Chapter 299

The flight felt like a lifetime to Jon. He was so excited knowing that he would see her soon, yet he felt uncertain of how Cheyenne will receive him. He wouldn’t be able to live through another rejection. His mother was giving him a hard time and when he told her he was going to see Cheyenne she burst into tears.

She made him promise to bring her back. She wanted to be there when her granbabies were born.

Jon saw her as she walked out the front door towards the beach. Her body was heavy and she walked slowly in the sand, her sandals in her hand. He wanted to grab her and crush her to him, pushing his face into her hair, smelling her.

Her hair was blowing in the breeze, her cheeks were flushed, she was breathtakingly beautiful.

Cheyenne was in her own world, she wasn’t feeling too well today and she knew what the doctor said, but if she walked a little while she was tired enough to have a good night’s sleep.

She was longing for Jon, she wanted to hear his voice calling her name, feel his hands burning her body, his eyes stealing her breath. Was he even thinking of her?

She was staring at the ocean, lifting her face as the breeze blew her hair out of her face, she smelled the saltiness of the sea, tasting it on her lips. The babies kicked and her hands moved towards her bump, a smile played over her face. She rubbed her tummy gently. She could make out a foot or a little knee pressing into her these days. If she pressed against the spot the baby would ease back. She loved the interaction she had with her unborn babies. She would play them Lost Highway when they get all busy and they would calm down after a while. They were going to be little rockers that’s for sure.

She walked a few steps forward, standing almost knee deep in the water. She felt a pain slicing through her and she groaned slightly, grabbing her side waiting for it to ease.

Jon was staring at her beauty, his breath caught in his throat when he saw the love in her face as her hands moved to her bump, stroking it gently. He gasped when he saw her grabbing her side, obviously experiencing pain. He forced himself to stay where he was, ready to rush closer if she needed him.

Cheyenne waited till the worst was over and decided to go back. Her eyes caught a blond man on the beach, he had a pair of jeans ….NO!

Her eyes told her, but her mind refused to believe it.

God he found me, he is going to take my babies!

Adrenalin shot through her veins and for a moment she felt ready to start running, but her body was heavy and another pain was starting up again.
