Chapter 362

To Cheyenne greatest irritation, the guys left their fitting up to the last minute. It was 5 days before the wedding and they still haven’t tried their tuxes.

The tired looks on their faces soften her heart somewhat, knowing that they worked their butts off during the day, so she decided to make an appointment with the tailor for that evening.

Jon and Richie were a bit apprehensive to leave her at night, but they accepted it and spoke to Nick to make sure his team will be on full alert.

Joe had a few much needed off days and weren’t due until the next day. Nick will just have to do and besides they won’t be gone for hours...

Cheyenne walked them to the car, the twins had their baths and so far the weaning was going so well. They accepted the bottles without any problems. Christie would feed them and it left some time for Cheyenne. Something she haven’t had for quite a while.

She watched as the red taillights disappear. Nick was a constant shadow behind her and she just flashed him an absent smile as she walked past him to her bedroom. He would probably be in the hallway or the kids nursery keeping Christie company. Those two were becoming an item. Cheyenne just shook her head and smiled, stepping into the warm bath.

Her hair dried and her body tingly from drying herself, Cheyenne headed towards the babies’ room.

Sweet little faces peeked from their blankets, fast asleep. Christie must have gone down to the kitchen to get herself something, so Cheyenne switched off the mainlight and left the nightlight on. Bears were dancing on the walls, changing colors as the nightlight turned from blue to yellow to green.

Cheyenne padded softly downstairs. She was looking forward to read the book she had been trying to finish for ages now, nothing like a warm cup of hot chocolate, a fire and a good book. Well nothing could beat a furry, muscled, heartthrob in your bed but he wasn’t here at the moment so the book had to do. Cheyenne chuckled at her thoughts.

God I’m addicted to that man!

She found Christie on her way to the kitchen. She was on her way back to the nursery and informed her that Nick went out to do a ground check.

She was waiting for the milk to warm up when she heard a strange noise. It could be the puppy or Nick? She shrugged her shoulders. Probably the puppy, she was always up to mischief..

A little while later she returned to the study, crawled into her favourite chair and made herself comfy for a blissful night of reading.

She became aware of someone in the room with her. A sixth sense kicked in and the hair on her body stood on end, something was amiss.

“I told you I’d find you.”
