Chapter 127

The flight was delayed for an hour and Cheyenne’s nerves were getting the best of her.

What if I’m late? God I still have to get my hair and my make up done.

She called Jon to inform him of the delay.

“Don’t worry baby. Everything will be fine. I’ll get the stylist to come to the hotel room.”

“You can do that?”

‘Honey, I AM Jon Bon Jovi. I can do a lot of things. You just leave it in my hands… baby..I can’t wait to see you tonight.”

‘Me neither...see you later.’

The short flight didn’t help for the nerves and when she had to leave Stacey behind she felt tears pricking her eyes. God she was nervous, she didn’t want to disappoint Jon.

Joe was waiting for her at the airport. He greeted her like an old friend. She hugged him close and he felt the slight shivering. Richie was ready to board the plane and it gave Cheyenne a bit of relief to know Stacey wouldn’t be flying alone.

“Nervous about tonight, Chey?”

“Oh God you won’t believe how nervous!”

“Relax, honey, everything is going to be fine!” Richie hugged her to him.

Joe accompanied her to the hotel room, tipped the porter and left her to go back to Jon.

She just made herself a cup of coffee when there was a knock on the door.

“Oh, my word. He told me you were gorgeous, but he didn’t do it justice!”

“Hi, I’m Cheyenne.”

“Darling, you can call me Bruce.”

A scrawny man of about 50 was standing in front of her, she was undergoing a scrutinizing like she had never had before. His black hair was greying , his clothes spoke of immaculate taste. He had friendly green eyes and a cute dimple on his left cheek.

The makeover began. She had a bath first then he started with a facial, he gave her a manicure, pedicure…chatting up a storm.

After hours of spoiling, she looked into the mirror.

A goddess was staring back at her. This man was a magician!

“Oh, sweetie you are going to sweep every man’s feet from under them! You are gorgeous. Now let’s get you into your dress, shall we?”

“I think I’ll be just fi..”

“Nonsense…honey I’ve seen more woman naked than you can imagine. I can promise you I’m really not into woman, darling.” She laughed nervously.

She brought the dress out as well as the shoes.

Bruce gasped when he saw the dress.

‘Oh….my…GAWD….You are going to kill all the men tonight. It’s not going to be a charity event it’s going to be a massacre. They are either going to die of heart attacks or their woman is going to kill them for staring at you all night!” His remark made Cheyenne laugh, and lifted the mountain she felt on her shoulders.

Cheyenne got undressed, self-conscious about the tiny scrap of thong she had on. She kept her back to him and made sure she didn’t flash him a breast or two.

He helped her slip into the dress , oohing and aahing as they went along.

The silver heels complimented the dress even more.

She stood in front of the mirror looking at her reflection. Bruce was still fiddling with a curl here and there.

“I hope Jon makes it through the night, cause honey when you come back this little scarp of a dress is going be on the floor and you on your back.”

Cheyenne gasped and started giggling.

“It’s a terrible thing to say! But thank you ,I guess it was meant to be a compliment.”

“Honey, I just say it like I see it. Jon is a virile man and you a knock out. You can almost turn me! Almost…” He gave her a sneaky grin.

She laughed. All this banter actually helped for the fluttering in her stomach.

Joe knocked on the door.

“Well honey go and knock them dead!”

He gave her a kiss on each cheek.

“Thank you , Bruce. You did a great job!”

“Well, now you know who to call for your wedding day!”

Bruce walked out with a huge smile on his face.
