Cheyenne was looking forward to the appointment, hoping that she would find out the other babies’ sex, but her heart felt heavy and bruised, knowing that the babies would probably never know their dad.
“Well, Miss Roberts you can go home and tell Mr. Bongiovi he has a daughter and a son on the way!”
“A boy…ooh yeah I see it now! A boy and a girl. My life is complete!” She burst out in noisy tears, catching the doctor off guard at first.
‘I’m sorry doctor.”
“No need. I know what pregnancy do to woman, its quite normal.” He patted her on the back gently.
She was sitting at a table when she heard a friendly female voice. She was still tying to dry her non stop flowing tears.
‘Hey, honey! Whats wrong, is everything ok?”
Dot pulled her up and into her arms.
She sobbed her heart out, not able to talk, Dot just held her. Paid for her bill and led her back to her car.
“Are you able to drive or should I ask Rob to collect your car?”
“No, no I’m fine.”
“Well come to my place for a bit. I don’t want you to be alone if you are in such a state.”
Dot was shocked and upset about Cheyenne’s reveal about leaving Jon.
“Are you sure? Where are you going? You are so far into your pregnancy honey, do you think it’s a good idea?”
“Richie insisted I stayed at his place on Malibu beach. I just need to get away, clear my head and get my life back together.”
“What about the babies. Are you going to keep them from Jon? You do know he will never stop hunting you down and if he finds you he will try to take the babies.”
Cheyenne’s teary eyes flashed.
“He will never take them from me, he’ll have to kill me first. But he will get over this. I will never ask him for anything, he doesn’t have to worry about me dragging his name through the mud.”
Dot took one of Cheyenne’s hands into hers.
“Cheyenne you love him, give him another chance. Life is too short to fuck around.”
“Dot you didn’t hear the things he said that evening hen he came home, He was tired and broken. I don’t want to be the cause of that! I love him too damn much!”
Dot sighed, shrugging when she realised she wasn’t’ going to convince Cheyenne to stay.
“Promise me one thing we will keep in contact, the kids are going to miss you.”
“I’m going to miss the kids too, but we will visit some time. Dot just promise me one thing, don’t tell Jon where I am.”
