The girls got into the limo. By now a few people looked at them, whispering.
“At least we got through the funeral, before someone recognised us.” Jon sighed, Richie had a grimace on his handsome face.
The snacks and coffee were a heaven sent. Stacey’s had calmed down, but she didn’t talk much. Richie kept her company, attentive to all her needs. Jon couldn’t keep his hands off Cheyenne, but the people were staring and he didn’t need any more attention than necessary.
Jon was relieved that the people had the decency not to ask for signatures. He always had time for things like that, but today was not the day. The women looked at them like they were the next meal, but he smiled politely at them flashing them his hearts topping grin. Cheyenne knew that smile.. it didn’t reach his eyes.
The funeral goers were leaving one after the other, greeting Stacey and Cheyenne. Richie stayed close to Stacey , keeping an eye on her.
Cheyenne walked over to him.
“Hey, you. “
“Hey to you too. Good to see you again, honey.” He gave her a kiss and hugged her.
Cheyenne stood on her toes whispering in his ear. ”Thanx for this.”
“Anytime, sweetie. It looked like you both were close to fainting. I had to help my favourite lady…” She gave his arm another affectionate squeeze.
She walked back to Jon, took his hand and walked out to the garden.
“Thanx for coming honey. You will never know how much I wanted you here!”
“I’m so glad to be here, baby. God I missed you.”
He opened his arms and she walked into them willingly.
She snuggled her face into his neck. Breathing him , wanting to lick his skin, but this was not the place.
He stroked her hair and she lifted her head, her eyes pleading for a kiss .
‘Ooh, baby don’t look at me like that. I won’t be responsible for what I’ll do if you don’t stop looking at me like that.”
He lowered his head and gave her a gentle kiss, breaking it almost immediately.
He blew out his breath, frustration in his handsome face, his eyes were smouldering.
They walked hand in hand back into the house.
The house was quiet when everyone left, too quiet.
The woman had changed into casual clothes. Cheyenne found the two men in the sitting room. Stacey came in her face scrubbed clean. She looked so vulnerable and her swollen eyes and dark circles broke everyone’s hearts. She had a hell of a time and it wasn’t over yet….
They drank coffee and the guys decided to order some pizza.
A few hours later the guys got up.
“Well, ladies we hate do this but we have to go. Photoshoot tomorrow so the plane is leaving in an hour’s time.”
Jon could see the disappointment in Cheyenne’s eyes.
“I know baby, but I’ll see you next week. Just remember to get yourself something nice to wear.”
The kiss he gave her buckled her knees and only left her wanting more.
Richie gave her a kiss and a hug, turning towards Stacey, he kissed her as well. Hugging her, holding her for a few seconds longer than necessary.
Jon hugged the sad girl, giving her some words of encouragement.
The girls stood at the door waving at the departing limo.
